Rino Noto was born in Italy and immigrated to Toronto with his parents and sister. From a very young age, Rino Noto had a curious outlook on the new and unfamiliar landscape around him. When he first picked up a camera, he became not just a unique observer, but an active creator who absorbed the world in terms of light and composition. These fundamental rules have carried Noto through a robust career as an artist and documentarian.

Noto flirted with painting, drawing, and design, but his love of photography eventually won out, leading to a number of prestigious international awards and a lifelong obsession with the freedom of movement granted by working with film.

Noto’s recent exhibitions have included “Crepuscolo, Threshold” (2015),“Viso”, Joseph D. Carrier Gallery (2010), “Deteriorarsi/Disrepair”, Spazio Dell’Arte (2010), “About Face”, DeLuca Fine Art Gallery (2009).

Noto lives in Toronto with his wife, Paola.
